Frequently asked

Frequently asked questions about Morocco itineraries.

How many days do I need for a good Morocco itinerary?

It depends on how much ground you want to cover. A focused trip around one base works well in three to four days. To combine the blue city of Chefchaouen and the north with Fes or Marrakech, plan on seven to ten days so the driving distances stay comfortable. Two weeks lets you link the north, the imperial cities, the Sahara and the coast at an unhurried pace.

Are your Morocco itineraries private and customizable?

Yes. Every itinerary we plan is private to your party and fully adjustable. The day-by-day routes shown here are starting points — we change the cities, the number of days, the accommodation style and the pace to match your dates, budget and interests before anything is confirmed.

What does a typical day on a Morocco itinerary include?

A typical day blends guided sightseeing with free time. Mornings are usually the best hours for medinas, markets and viewpoints — in Chefchaouen the blue lanes are quietest and most photogenic early — with a sit-down lunch and a slower afternoon for a walk, a workshop or a scenic drive. On travel days you cover the distance between regions, often stopping at towns or viewpoints along the route.

What is usually included in a Morocco itinerary?

Most tailored itineraries cover your accommodation (often guesthouses and riads in the medinas, or kasbahs in the south), private ground transport in an air-conditioned vehicle, a private driver-guide or separate driver and local city guides, and the activities or entrance visits listed in the plan. International flights, most meals beyond breakfast, tips and personal spending are typically not included — your written quote always spells out exactly what is and isn't covered.

How far ahead should I book a Morocco itinerary?

For peak periods — spring, autumn and the main holidays — booking two to three months ahead gives the best choice of guesthouses, riads, guides and desert camps, which fill quickly. Shorter trips based around Chefchaouen and the north can often be arranged with a few weeks' notice, and we do our best with later requests, though availability and choice narrow closer to the dates.
